D.D.S., M.S.
Dr. Johnston grew up in
Arkansas and attended Arkansas State University. He received his D.D.S.
degree from the University of Tennessee at Memphis. He was on staff at
Bryce Hospital in Tuscaloosa Alabama and was a faculty member at the
University of Alabama for three years before returning to U.T. Memphis
where he received his M.S. degree in Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Johnston is a member of the Paducah Rotary club where he has served as
chairman of several club committees. He is a member of Broadway United
Methodist Church where he has been a choir member and active participant
for many years.
He enjoys hunting, fishing, tennis, and golf. He and his wife Sheila enjoy
traveling and gourmet cooking. They have two daughters and four
grandchildren.
Dr. Johnston is a member of the American Dental Association, the American
Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Southeastern Society of Pediatric
Dentists, the Kentucky Association of Pediatric Dentists, the Kentucky
Dental Association and the Purchase Dental Society. He has held dental
licenses in Tennessee, Alabama, and Kentucky and has held specialty
certification in Tennessee and Kentucky. He researched and co-authored an
article on pit and fissure sealants which was published in the A.S.D.C.
Journal of Dentistry for Children and also in the Yearbook of Dentistry.
